Of course Tona can't go "high and right" at Mar A Lago. As noted elsewhere, reality is my co-author and consequences have to happen here in order for me to remove pieces from this fictional board.
Wow, what a great page. The burden of what Tona is doing is really starting to stack up. There's a lot of emotion through her stance alone and the colour usage is on point. She's walking down the proverbial road to hell now and I hope she has at least planned for a way out.
I don't think bashing Roger Ailes's head into a table is keeping Tona awake at night... getting her ass grabbed by her latest boss and having multiple reasons preventing her from doing anything about it is what's "breaking her a little".
Author comments updated! But yeah, I think I probably owe a little more back story on why Tona's whacking Mr. Timmy... though I'm sure you could speculate why.
I have now tweaked some dialogue for my comic for 15th September a bit, to include a bit of speculation... As for who is talking there about this incident... ;-D
Surely Trump's history prepared Tona for the fact she would need to endure sexual harassment and assault from him while working for him. No, the real question in all of this is whether or not Trump is going to behave like a proper businessman: Grab her ass, assure her that she's not on the chopping block, and then she wakes up one morning less than a week later finding out from the news that she's fired.
Better people than Trump pull bullshit like that. The perfect time to do that kind of thing is when the victim has a reason not to take their complaints seriously coming down the line. Firing people to react to problems associated with them is a signature move of, ahem, the Trump administration.
Yeah, anyone surprised by the shamelessness of Trump doesn't know Trump, or sociopaths in general either. "It's not whether I do it that matters, it's whether someone can and will make the charge stick."
This is a gorgeous page. The dim understated purple sets her yellow locks ablaze. Really well done -- it's like a postmodern inversion of that old Rockwell piece about ethnic togetherness.
This page spawned an entire spinoff comic, the partnership that led to its sequel, and the production methods first tested on it (i.e. short pages pushed in rapid succession) have powered me since then. That's not to say the countless cameos, fan arts, and comments/PM with other creators and readers since then.
Aside from my first, this is the most consequential page I've done in webcomics.
(And also, there is that skull guy from your crossover with Kaza's Mate Gwenna, right?)
ok, i'll let that joke die nowlotta dying on this page, but that joke ain't one of themBetter people than Trump pull bullshit like that. And yeah, Tona can read the writing on the wall.
On the positive side, Trump has shown that he's ready and willing to issue pardons for anyone who commits crimes in the process of pushing his agenda!
