Due to a conflict of interest (because those are an issue for some of us) these pages will now be published four hours earlier on CF.

And FINALLY we start arcing back into the main action of this half of the first chapter...

Thanks for reading! If you like this, do me a favor in getting the word out and rate this page a “5”.

Ah, yes... let's give poor Tona flashbacks...

At any rate, that probably will motivate her.

I suspect the attack was planned by the regime, and has anyone seen my tinfoil?

So yeah, this is why I don't build up a big ol' buffer... sometimes I need the occasional reminder or two.

Not that I hadn't been considering that event, but now it's all crystalized.

Agh, yes, we must find out how that ended... D:
Gotta agree with Prof, I can see this being a motivator...

Thanks to the flashback I was compelled to draw this evening, that jerk Prof made me cry.

Not too proud to admit this.

Oh, shit. And I'm waging it's actual terror and not just Bowling Green grasping at straws terror.

Maureen's referring to the initial media reports of the previous pages: vehicular homicide and violencia con los pistoles.

So yeah, definitely not "Bowling Green" or "Sweden"... I write plausible fiction, brother!

Oh yes, we've finally caught up to the gap between news coverage and personal communication. I wonder if Maureen is getting a text, or a news update?

Can't wait to see the coming iteration of this argument when both Tona and Maureen are ten years older. I wonder, will either one of them will have changed their opinion by that point?

Something tells me that consequences will play a large part in this tale.

One could make an argument that all 600+ pages of this combined work are the repercussions amongst my characters of a few chance encounters that occurred over a decade ago.

But yeah, if Prof's Felicia Kingsley is "Truth" embodied then Tona Zehm is surely "Consequences".

No arguing with someone holding an axe...

The axe may be a recurring item in this Volume...

Come on, that’s a little harsh, Tona. Mom’s more like the town “Golden Girl”. ;-)

The ironic thing is, Tona would probably berate/beat the crap out of someone else for calling her mom a "whore".

Ah... family!
