I'm going to wrap this thing up around January 2019. Is there anything you demand to see resolved? I'll probably leave you hanging, but let me know!

I'm afraid to ask. For someone who considers anything short of a 357 & a hand grenade to be foreplay. Where does she go with BSDM?

I think Tona picked up a penchant for pithy hyperbole in the Army.

Also, I'm pretty sure that at the end of the day it's the "D" in BDSM that spins her crank; everything else including the specific toys are details.

That’s got me wondering - unless you’ve got this thing mapped out that far, and just guessing here, but that seems unlikely given the significance of current events to Valkyries, how does one end one of these things? Not plot wise, I mean mechanically. You just decide it’s over and start tying things up? Are you already thinking of a finale? You got a new project simmering in that seditious/patriotic* gray matter already?

In order:

1) I make everything collapse.

2) What's the most spectacular collapse that I can manage?

3) There's a couple new projects I'm thinking about in the 2022 timeframe, but the successor Volume will be Flyover Country and it will be a road trip.

- Getting some psychological help for Eric might not be the worst idea, it's just that, as as seems to be often the case, Tona's methods for reaching that goal are questionable.
Let's see what exactly she is planning.... Perhaps something like: "I'll give you this pardon, but in exchange for that, you *hands him a calling card* have to visit this guy. His name is Dr. Shrink, and I hear he is very good."

- And what does it say about Felicia (and her relationship with Tona!) that she is starting to undress without Tona explicitly requesting that...!?

- Lastly, I too have a curious question about the making of this comic, something I have been wondering for a while now:
Did you ever (or do you still) have a "contingency plan" for this comic, in the case of a real life event that ends the Trump administration prematurely (like e.g. impeachment)? Especially while you are in the middle of a longer chapter?

Contrary to all appearances, this comic isn't about Old Boy, it's about my characters reacting to the president and his chaos. If Trump were to depart the pattern for any reason, they'd react to that too.

With the exception of MSV, all my comics are about reacting to the circumstances of their generation.

It is hard being part of their (my) generation, knowing that all that Star Trek utopian dreaming was so close to being within humanity's grasp in 1998...

Fictional villains remain more complex and sympathetic than the real ones running America. They at least have reasons beyond childish selfishness for what they do.

There's a compelling story to be told about Trump, about a young man who was never loved, always living in the shadow of himself... however, we're too close to the real deal for any of that to seem appealing. He's a symptom of some incredible ugliness in the American spirit, the same sort of spite that wanted to extend slavery across the continent, the same sort that regularly wants to put large numbers of brown people living elsewhere to death. We will exorcise that nastiness, but by God it will take time and effort.

We'll have to leave the telling of that story to a director who may not be born yet to make that video game/interactive movie... hopefully that director can grow up here in America, and not somewhere else.

Yeah! What happened to Autumn Bay after that riot?

At some point I have to get around to mentioning that... Ferrell's Row being prone to violence, they were able to write off everything except the knowledge that their government was ready to violently suppress dissent.

Or something like that.

To further Amelia's question; WHAT HAPPENED TO PROF???

Prof is still out there, but unfortunately he does not have the time/resources to continue pushing Autumn Bay in the same format or updates schedule.

:(

it is what it is

When you've got stories like these with ensemble casts I always like to see a "where are they now" type vignettes just to wrap up what happened to them by stories end. Could be cheesy or done in a nice artistic manner.
