This page should clear up a few "logistics" questions from the previous comments section: yes, Sam and the Zehm girls are all one big not awkward at all family.

And no, I friggin' can't help myself... this is what I have in common with Sam.

VDSD 2017 is still going on, with my piece being right here (warning, NSFW).

Thanks for reading! If you like this, do me a favor in getting the word out and rate this page a “5”.

If Tona was taking down a full cord she'd probably be out there in a sports bra because she's that hard. She's choked out dudes in hand-to-hand combat, been shot multiple times, and given birth. Going down to the tattoo/piercing parlor is like getting a pedicure. And she didn't get this strength from her dad...

All cheesecake aside, Tona is my toughest main character.

Aww... Little Trinity is growing up so fast...

(Let's pray she doesn't get hit by SORAS...)

Sam is a good man at heart. The Donald-in-Chief is a vile man. That is the difference.

Of course, Trumps one (possible) saving grace is, he rewards loyalty, so there's that...

Trump rewards loyalty? Huh, tell that to General Flynn--good to go until the press found out about his collusion with Russia.

Don't worry, that loyalty-as-convenience plays into developments in this work... the consequences of Tona's bailing on the Trump campaign aren't played out.

Ah good ol' Sam. Such a great guy. Always takes good care of himself too. I'm sure his face isn't sporting any new uncanny holes or anything. No sir. Nothing bad at all

Says the guy who just took a shotgun to his main character.

Perhaps Tona should thank God that the POTUS hasn't "opened his home" for her, as in: "There is always a free room for you in the Trump-Tower..." *wink wink*

I don't think Melania would like that very much.

Haha, yeah, how indeed...

Pretty cute how they're all one big family- I mean, except how he stole Erics spot, bwahahahaha.

Going to throw this out there: I think there is a greater than 0% chance that Eric and Tona will get together again.

If you hadn't already planned out your next scene change, I'd suggest showing us the dungeon or hellscape that Captain Happy is (self?) imprisoned in next.

Is it fair to ask how far ahead this work is scripted?

I don't follow on how this or any of the previous pages has anything to do with Captain Happy.

I'm running off a roughly three page buffer (should be more, TBH) and I have the rest of this chapter pretty surely laid out. I am kicking around ideas (per the very obvious Joseph Campbell formula) for the beginning of the next chapter but rest assured that while Captain Happy may (oh come on, he will and it will be SUPER AWESOME) make an appearance it won't be for many months.
anonymous coward 16th Feb 2017, 12:54 AM edit delete reply
Where the Captain might come in is through him having a strong opinion about Trump setting up a brownshirt posse. Him expressing that opinion, or not, could be all sorts of plot relevant for Tona directly. Potentially it might happen in this very scene if he were to try recruiting her as a double-agent.

I could also see him being too much of a long-range planner--or minding too many irons already in the fire--to have a full and complete response this early though.
Chippewa Ghost 16th Feb 2017, 8:19 AM edit delete reply
Chippewa Ghost
Captain Happy already considers Tona a generic "enemy", but rest assured that when he becomes aware of a certain event in the previous volume he will become personally focused on Tona's violent destruction. And Tona being Tona, she will continue to unknowingly provoke and antagonize him on levels both operational and emotional.

On further review, Tona's eventual character design (cover image) was an unconscious reaction to Captain Happy's.

Uh, does she have SHORTS on in the SNOW? Just checking! XD

Tona's crazy like that... partially because she's descended from barbarian Germans who would slide down glaciers naked.
