The inspiring incident is interesting for its background:

He said he wanted to pray in public on the campus of his new university but he was afraid for his safety as a Muslim.
"If people look at me, a Muslim praying, I don't know what they're going to think, what's going to happen," Abdul Razak Ali Artan, the Ohio State University student responsible for Monday's attack that injured 11 people on the campus, said in a recent interview with the school newspaper.

There is undoubtedly more to it than this, but I would highlight one particular cause. This person--described by many as nice, friendly and considerate--seems to have been pushed off the deep end by being feared, hated and isolated for his religion. I do not excuse or condone attempted murder based on such an overreaction to religious intolerance, but this shows that fear and hatred of Muslims is itself causing terrorist attacks.

I'd probably rephrase "the inspiring incident" as "the incident that inspired this".

Concur that echo chamber effects only serve the crows and the flies.

Good choice to change the words, because inspiring seems to imply a certain level of approval or agreement.

Now, let me clean that blood splatter of my monitor, before my boss comes around and starts asking questions.

Well, I'm being optimistic here: I'm hoping that this will inspire and teach a few stupid assholes to do less of the ignorant Islamophobia ranting and raving. I'm hoping that enough people grasp that claiming Muslims are evil terrorists is proven a self-fulfilling prophecy, that people start pointing at this to shut down jerks who can't keep their prejudice in their pants. I'm HOPING.

Ugh, all this hope is making me feel dirty.

As weird as this sounds, this work is also driven by hope and not the desperation that would seem to be evident throughout this first chapter.

I wonder if I should be like CiciEnixa and have a running tally of all the people who get killed in this comic?

Clearly this guy doesn't know how to do drive by.
Jokes aside, the layout and angles used in this page are really good. It still makes the execution surprising, despite being able to see the whole page at a glance. This is good stuff.
