This comic bluntly names a sociological-philosophical issue: Who decides the standards of what is, "brainwashing," and how do we apply and act on them? The difficult part is coming up with an answer that doesn't lead to civil war in the US.

Giving credit where due: Elektra (do I have that name right?) looks pretty good as an elite level storm trooper here. Is this an intentional reference to Star Wars storm troopers and and Darth Vader or is it hard to avoid that with white riot armour that has armored face protection?

There were sturmtruppen before Lucas.

They did their job and they did it extremely effectively... now all close combat troops use their tactics.

But maybe Lucas’s are the only imagery that snowflakes understand. Best to clear this up before the “election” this year.

Oh a storm trooper rehash, how original. ;)

Regarding originality, I'm blatantly lifting at least two fellow CF artists' intellectual property, because things that work don't get left in the dirt.

I recommend you go look up what happened to the Sturmgewehr 44.

Which two+ CFers?
Bearfox 12th Jan 2018, 3:45 AM edit delete reply
ProfEtheric for the locale, CallMeTom for the boogeyman, although neither are seen much (or at all) on CF these days.

While true, there's good indications that they're both still out there.

That wrong answer looks especially painful. It brings back painful memories of elementary school.

Guh, sounds like a crummy childhood.

Ah, OK - the Captain Phasma-wannabe is not Tona herself then, as I first suspected, but Ellen Greco, electro-fists being her stick and all.
Except perhaps if this is actually a red herring, and Tona now has an armor with build-in tasers... (But then again, wouldn't that be how Ellen's powers work anyway? Or are they inherent, with her backstory being that she was genetically engineered from a crampfish or something?)

Man, Captain Phasma (and the rest of that zombie franchise) needs to go away. I hope nobody remembers her in a decade.

As far as the rest of your musings, I assure you that at some point or another you were/are correct.

Ohh, I'm hoping for it to be a right answer~

Unlikeable protagonist anyone?

...

Well, we'll see if I can reel things in from where I've thrown 'em.

No quarter given! This is going to be brutal.

Well, there will be an option, briefly offered, that could greatly reduce the carnage...

Oh! She showed mercy! She isn't so bad. (Or did I understand wrong and she killed the girl? Seems she just throw her away, for me.)
