Grapeshot?!? Wrong century, and it won't do it unless they're throwing out lots. Enough incendiaries might give them pause though.

Eh, riot control tactics wouldn't work on the battlefields of 1860's, but that discussion is OBE, since the modern insurgent's toolbox has a lot more versatile and lethal uses for scrap metal.

Dude bounced a cinderblock with his shield like no bigs. I second the incendiaries but shooting them down a pipe cannon’s a bit risky!

Actually, I’m not a gun nut (though I am a gun owner), but this is the kind of thing the second amendment really is about!

So yeah, this is where I have to defer to the ground rules in Prof's creation--guns aren't heavily prevalent or preferred in Autumn Bay.

I'll leave him to explain what mixture of gang culture/repressive municipal laws is the source of this general lack of firearms, but as a result Captain Happy and company must now display their full repertoire of "impromptu expository doodads" or as you may know them: IEDs.

Heh heh. I love how you have that concrete block bouncing off his shield. XD

If I was really good I'd add little stuff like that on every page... that's where the situational humor and re-readability comes from, imho.

They want the government-sanctioned violence to later be reported by Felicia (and thus the media) in excruciating detail!?
That's... unusual. But on the other hand, it also makes sense, regarding the "making an example" angle they are going for...

If you're doing God's work then transparency is nothing to be afraid of.

And anyway, the rioters and anarchists started it.

(Hell yeah that's an unusual call. But hey, since when has Tona been anything but a showoff?)

They want someone to sing their legend after all... Who would be better than the press?

It’s tough to intimidate when nobody knows what they’re in for.
