Wendell has pretty good reason to be apprehensive about mixing it up with Liberty International... more next page, of course.

OUCH!

Wendell's comment started out as some snide quip about Stalingrad, which is totally not something he'd say. Metaphors involving sticking appendages into rotating blades, that's more like him.

Wendell's former employer really didn't have a great track record in ABay, did they?

And yes, Ellen is probably aware of the Row's reputation, as well as that of Captain Happy's merry band.

SO HYPE for the Throwdown in the Row! :D

Is this officially a civil war they're talking about, or is it too low to the ground to consider it more than gang warfare? You'd think that with Tona on one side using Presidential resources and access to make things happen that would count as civil war. On the other hand, her aims, allegiances and legitimacy are all less than fully clear and that throws metaphorical buckets of ambiguity around, ambiguously-sized ones.

Mental note: Avoid trying to sell ambiguity in bulk wholesale. The supply side of that market is literally cut-throat in many cases.

key phrase: "gang warfare"

But yeah, sometimes people go fishing for divisive issues. Sometimes they're complicit with putting blood on the streets to prove their point. These are the times we live in here in America.

Exploitation of divisive issues is usually less about making a point than it is for acquiring and using power I find. War and disaster is the price of educating for obedience and ideological conformity ahead of critical thinking skills, as "better dead than red" America is showing the world right now.

Chippewa Ghost
A highly underutilized word in these days of "dicks" 'n' "pricks".
